Very entertaining Cinderella/My Fair Lady type story where the hero, Regan Cole, makes over the heroine, Kenna Dean, to attract his blood brother Denny, then ends upwardly falling for Kenna himself. I didn't want to go too far downwardly the rainbow, collywobbles and unicorn vortex so I stayed abroad from good LG and went to the one we all love but aren't quite certain why, Diana Palmer. I want to emphasize a point from my first review that there is "minimum cruelty" on the part of the H. The big ole hair smoke stack can only become so far.

The sartorial portion of the book..

THE HEROINE:
She's drab hence her wearing

beige raincoat and its matching hat. A MATCHING chapeau.

And
She had just bought the new frontier skirt and a matching high-necked ruffled blouse on Sat

She wears that twice because she knows the H hates it. What's actually the question is why she thinks that dressing like Sister-Adult female will make her bonny to the younger brother she yens for.Especially when the lilliputian brother is panting later a sexy Argentine woman. You option!

THE HERO:
his casual slacks, deep burgundy–colored velour shirt and tweed jacket. The shirt was open up at the throat, and she saw a glimpse of darkly tanned pare and thick, very thick hair in the opening.

Heaven assist u.s., a velour shirt. And he smokes.

She'south sassy…

"Can I assist it if God gave you unbelievable talents in lovemaking to compensate for your lack of looks?" she asked.

They banter...
"The signal behind instruction you to exist seductive was not to teach you how to seduce me," he said before long. "I am not going to get sexually involved with a virgin."

"So y'all keep saying," she returned. "Then why don't you stop kissing me and proverb outrageously suggestive things to me?"

He'south manly.
"You can be independent to a certain point," he agreed. "But I'll want you with me when I travel. I don't want to spend nights away from yous."
In other words, y'all're not independent.

A young widow? The heroine to the H:
Regan, will it always exist similar this for us, fifty-fifty when we're onetime and wrinkled?"

"Speak for yourself, I don't plan to get old.

No, because you are going to dice young or else live out your days in an oxygen tent. What the heck Diana Palmer! 3.v verging on 4 stars.

OLD REVIEW
Your hero is a gruff, head-over-his-heels, fairy godfather in the making.

The H takes the gawky h in hand so she tin can take hold of his little stepbrother. Too bad the H is head over heels in love with the heroine. To stab a trope in the middle even more, she realizes she'due south in love with the large bad, hairy chested Diana Palmer hero sooner rather than later. ALL DP's hero's have hairy chests.

He resists with a minimum of cruelty, and HEA.

Nicely done!!!

The wearing apparel sense!

This hero really grew on me with his "ugly" butt!! :-)

"Diamond Daughter" is the story of Kenna and Regan.
Kenna is in dearest with her boss Denny- who doesn't find her. Who does however discover besides equally make her mad is his stepbrother Kenna, who decides she needs a makeover to ever attract Denny and become him out of a gold digger's arms.
What begins is a foreign fairy godfather relationship, filled with wit, sense of humour and passion.
I really enjoyed the banter and evolution of feelings betwixt the 2.

Unpopular opinion amidst my friends just this i wasn't a winner for me. For starters I simply didn't like plainly ol Kenna at all. It'southward hard for me to chronicle to someone who'south so unassuming that she tin can be humiliated and embarrassed and she'd just stand in that location and quietly receive it.

This ane is about a secretary falling for the wrong brother in the beginning. And so the other brother walks in. He'south older, heart-searching (I'd concur to disagree), more assertive and over bearing. He has an issue with Kenna's dowdy appearance and inclination to exist a broad-eyed, self-wallowing plain jane.

He humiliates her repeatedly and calls out on her credible beat out on the younger brother that she'southward been harbouring for years. The H, Regan says the rudest possible things to her and Kenna here stands by, takes it on a plate and switches on her water works to confirm that she'south indeed, ugly, ungainly and poor.

I hated Kenna more right and then. For the life of me I could actually not feel the chemistry between the mc'southward. Regan repeatedly called Kenna hideous to look at and Kenna was accepting of it and hence agrees to his help of helping her update her pilus and article of clothing.

Kenna was one of the most desperate females I could've come across in my reading history. She is crass and has admittedly no reservations on her dignity. She's hot and bothered past Regan'due south kissing and is almost begging him to take her. She also announces her state of virginity.

There is no terminate to the level which Kenna reaches to display her neediness. She later confesses to the H's mother how she's pining later one of her sons and tin't wait to marry him. I felt embarrassed on Kenna'southward behalf for such a telling access. I'd die a hundred deaths really.

Unfortunately Kenna was so foregone in her pursuit of sex and a husband, there was no stopping her. I liked how Regan would rile her upwards by saying cruel things just she gave absolutely no chase. She was easy and available.

When the H is rescued towards the stop of the book, she is making out with him in front end of everyone and apparently soon secures herself an HEA. Apparently at that place'due south a moving-picture show on this on YouTube. Guess it must be a popular one!

Sweet story. It was cute how a rude grumpy 'Mr Higgins' hero (as in My Fair Lady) transformed the ugly duckling into a swan, so fell for her himself.

The most astonishing matter about this was that it was written in 1996 rather than 1976. The outrageously cheesy clothes gave me a giggle, every bit did the hero with the thick furry chest hair that seemed to drive the heroine wild, and smoking was considered glamorous. Strangely, contact lenses didn't seem to have been invented (which I know they were).
